Securitas enters into agreement with Defentry
Securitas Group and cyber safety company Defentry enter into a partnership to expand Securitas digital offering with a data-driven security intelligence service. Digital threats and fraudulent use of company and personal data is a massive and rapidly growing global problem, becoming a major threat to all businesses. Everyday personal data and company data is stolen in criminal cyber-attacks.
All companies are uniquely vulnerable, and cybercriminals know it. Larger enterprises can devote attention and resources to security and employee training while smaller firms and individuals are more vulnerable as they have less protection. This makes smaller firms and high-net-worth individuals easier targets for criminals. Less-sophisticated enterprises are also becoming easier targets as the criminals evolve and create more efficient and sophisticated ways to steal the company's most important assets, such as data.
42% said their company is not fully equipped to handle digital threats. According to a study performed by Insurance Information Institute and J.D. in 2020.
Defentry’s technology and data together with Securitas strategy and reach is a perfect match. Securitas is now launching its first digital safety service app with Defentry's platform as a foundation. Sweden is the launch market for this digital safety service, and with the rest of European markets to follow.
The service that Securitas offers its customers detects ID threats related to personal and company data from multiple sources such as open web, dark web, governmental and credit bureau databases. The service also includes security awareness training through gamified simulated attacks and micro training on current threats.
